"One should study mathematics simply because it helps to arrange one's ideas." - M W Lomonossow While school administrators and teachers have the very best intentions for their students at heart, the sheer numbers in their care make it challenging to continually assess student progress, and detect and remedy individual students' weaknesses in maths and science early. My approach to afterschool tutoring aims to find those areas of weakness and deal with them before misunderstandings in the subject matter compound by Jr & Sr Cycle exam time. I have over 20 years experience as a classroom teacher (BSc, BEd), tutor and teaching assistant in maths and science to students from primary school age to University/3rd level. I pull lessons and student practice from several well-reputed print and on-line resources. Beginning in January, I have limited afterschool and weekend openings for Primary& Jr Cycle students to provide ongoing affordable private tuition (to a max class size of 3) at my home in Swords.
